The Weekend Review - January 27th-29th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

It's hard to believe January is almost over, isn't it?  That went pretty fast.  I'll probably finish January with 8 books read.  That's about average for me.  The good thing is they've been such good books.  I've enjoyed them all so much.  I hope the rest of the year is this good as far as books go.

As for what I've been watching, I've mainly just been sticking with binging on Game of Thrones.  I'm in season 5 now.  I've also been watching Chicago PD, Med and Fire.  Most of my other shows will be back in February.

Other than that, a quiet week for me.  Just reading and watching GOT.   I hope everyone has a great week!

I finished reading ...

Here's my reading list through February.  As always, this list is subject to change due to my mood (and other deadlines). 😁

There have been so many "Stuff your Kindle" days lately.  They are usually only good for a day or two.  Here is this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  1. You have a nice week too! I hope the Mulhern book, I enjoyed that series but think I left off around 4 or 5?

  4. It's amazing how many of your titles include the word "murder" -- mysteries are a great genre, and I like to read them too.

    1. It was good. I tend to get a bit confused with all the different characters, but wow it's a violent series, isn't it? I'm almost done with season 5 now.

  16. Glad you had an enjoyable month in reading. The cover of Just The Way You are looks like a movie poster from the 1960s. Interesting!

  18. I stopped watching Game of Thrones after the Third season because I cancelled my cable subscription. I know my library has all the DVDs, so I should just start from the beginning again. ☺

Have a wonderful new week. ☀

I am glad you had a good reading month. I feel like I did too. You have a great line up of books there. Several I would like to read too. I hope you have a great week, Yvonne!
