The Weekend Review - June 22nd-24th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

It's so crazy how fast time is flying.  It's almost July already.  I hope all those experiencing the heat wave are doing well.  We still have hot temps and humidity here but mostly it's cloudy all the time.  It always looks like it will rain.

I finished two books this week.  That's an improvement.  I hope to do more reading.  I haven't been watching much of anything on TV.  Just Criminal Minds and Evil.  Also, baseball.

It's been a quiet week here.  Nothing really going on.  How has it been by you?  I hope you all have a great week!

  1. It keeps going from hot and humid to chilly out and we’ve had so much rain! I hope we have better weather this week and you get plenty of reading time!

  2. We are finally getting warmer weather here, and I'm happy about it. Now, summer just needs to slow down a little. It can't be almost July already!

  3. I have too many Kindle cozy freebies and I gave away all my paper books. I now get my reads from Netgalley. And I have too many of those too. Sigh! Have a great week.

  5. It's been a fairly slow week for me too! I hope you guys are dealing with the heat okay... We're already transitioning from the summer to rainy weather here where I live, and I'd take the heat over the hassle of the rain most of the time. T_T

  6. We've had a lot of rain as remnants of the storm in the Gulf drifted in, but it wasn't too bad.

I'm very curious about the new Beatriz Williams book!

  7. I know the months just fly by these days. I don't like it. Though I remember as a kid how they took forever especially when in school...lol.

  8. My youngest will be 1 on 1 July. I can't believe how fast that year has gone!

2 books is good! I've managed a couple but only because I was finishing them off. They should have been read a week or so ago!

    Have a great weekend!

  9. It's heating up here but no rain at all. At least the grass doesn't need mowing. I managed to get mostly audiobooks for July so I am reading ebook freebies to fill in when I do manage to stay awake enough at bedtime.

  15. We have been under tornado watch. It is so hot and humid. Storms blew through yesterday, but no tornadoes. Hope it cools off for all of us soon.

Great looking books this week. Hope you get more reading time in.

  16. It’s midwinter for me so it’s cold though there are blue skies today.
Romance featuring sport is sure having a moment right now, probably due to the Swift/Kelce romance I guess

Wishing you a great reading week

  20. It's actually not miserably hot here today but it feels like it could start storming any minute. I'll be curious to see your thoughts on Come Shell or High Water. I wanted to like it way more than I did. I hope you're having a great week!
