The Weekend Review - January 11th-13th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

My heart goes out to all those in California dealing with these horrible fires.  They are truly tragic.  My prayers are with everyone.

I hope everyone is doing well this week.  It's been a quiet one for me.  Not much happening, which I'm good with.  No excitement can be a good thing.

I finished two books this week.  A few TV shows came back and I watched those - Chicago Fire, Med and PD.  They were good.

Nothing new to report here...same old, same old.  How have you been?  Anything exciting going on in your world?  I hope you all have a great week!

  2. You can't do much these days without inviting death! lol There are so many murders among people involved in such nonviolent activities as baking and dancing and even shopping! lol

    Enjoy all your January books.

  5. A quiet week is great! We got a little snow and lots of freezing rain. There are a lot of challenges out there with fires, hurricanes and snow / ice. Our winter has been about 10 degrees colder than usual.

  8. Oh yes, it’s horrible! I’m hoping they are contained and out soon! The title, Campaigning Can Be Deadly made me chuckle. Lots of fun cozy mysteries on your horizon.

  9. I prefer quiet weeks too. Last week was somewhat stressful, but I made it through. And there were some good things that happened too, which is always nice. I am hoping this week will be a good one for all of us. I hope you enjoy your reading and have a great week!

  15. It's generally the same old stuff here as well. Work, deal with car issues, work more to pay for car issues, wish you could get along without a car but you need it to get to work!

  16. She Doesn't Have a Clue looks super cute! I look forward to seeing your thoughts on it. It's been same old same old here too but sometimes boring is good! I hope you're having a great week!
