The Weekend Review - July 5th-7th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great week.  If you celebrated July 4th, I hope you had nice weather and had a good time.  It was supposed to rain here in Florida, but we lucked out.  The night of July 4th was nice.  We were even luckier that the fireworks didn't bother the kitties.  I was surprised by that.  They usually hide under the bed, but this time they didn't even move.  They didn't go outside on their catio but they didn't go running away either.  I'm just glad that's over with.

I finished two books this week.  I started watching the final season of Squid Game.  I didn't realize it had started already.  There are only six episodes left.  That shouldn't take too long to watch.

There's not much going on here this week.  It's been a quiet holiday week.  What's it been like in your corner of the world?  I hope everyone has a great week!

  1. That's a great book haul! In my corner of the world, I've got no complaints, just got back from vacation and the rain finally stopped.

  2. Our fireworks were unexpectedly quiet this year, even though the college had a big event. Not sure why.

Dead, White, and Blue! These book titles!

  3. We were fortunate here in north Florida, the storms waited and everyone around us had the 4th celebrations. I honestly thought we'd get loads of rain.

Sometimes a quiet holiday is good 😊 glad the kitties weren't too upset.

  7. We had a mostly quiet time, too. The fireworks don't bother the kitties any more than thunder does, they just go find a quiet place to sleep.
