The Weekend Review - August 2nd-4th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Happy August!  Moving right along through summer...although, I do like autumn.  Of course, in Florida, there's really not much difference between summer and autumn.  Still, it does get a little cooler here.  Not much, but a little.

I finished two books this week.  They were good ones.  I was hoping to read more books, but it didn't happen.  That's okay, though.  I'm enjoying what I am reading.

I don't really have much to report this week.  It's been a quiet one.  Nothing really going on.  I do prefer quiet weeks :)

What's going on in your corner of the world?  I hope everyone has a great week!

  1. Glad you're looking forward to autumn, even though it's significantly warmer here than in the summer.

  2. Glad you had a nice quiet week and enjoyed two books. I am not looking forward to summer being over though I don't mind autumn, winter comes after and blah.

  4. I love quiet weeks! We are getting a fall preview with cooler temps this week, then back to the oven by next weekend. At least it gives me a chance to mow the yard.

  6. There isn't a great deal of difference here between summer and autumn, but we generally have some wonderful cool fronts during autumn.

  11. Ohh Battle of the Bookshops sounds fun, it's sounding to me a bit like 'You've got Mail' but hopefully with a better ending 😅! Also Muffins & Murder in Sunset Cove has such a gorgeous cover. Have a great week!

  14. The Locked Ward looks like a serious read. I'd guess Florida is pretty warm all year around.

  15. The Locked Ward looks so good! I've really enjoyed all I've read by that author. We have a little bit more of a fall than you guys get but it normally starts in November or so. I hope you have a great week!
