Top Ten Tuesday-Non-Bookish Freebie

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. 

This week, the topic is Non-Bookish Freebie which means anything you want that's non-bookish. My topic is my favorite TV shows I watch when I'm not reading. These aren't in any particular order.

1.  Survivor - This has been on for years and the only reality show I watch.  Just when I think I'm getting bored of it, they find a way to get me interested. Although there are times it takes me halfway through a season until I get to know all the contestants.

2.  Chicago MED, Fire and PD - I love all three shows.  I try to watch these either as they air or at least the next day.  I don't let them linger on my DVR.  

3.  Fire Country - I binged the first season and then couldn't stop.  I love the action and the family drama of it all.

4. Soaps - My guilty pleasure. I watch Days of Our Lives and General Hospital and have watched for years.  I used to watch them with my mother - mainly because I loved Dark Shadows and it came on after the other shows were over.  I stuck with Days and GH...sometimes I'm ready to give them up and other times they such me back in.

5. Binging old classics - Right now I'm binging on Falcon Crest, which I watched when it originally aired.  It ended in 1990 and most of it feels new to me.  I seem to remember the earlier season, not the last ones.  I must have lost interest when it originally aired, but now I'm addicted again.  I only have two seasons left.  Previously, I binged Dallas and Knots Landing.

6. Dexter - I love all the different versions of this series and I'm so glad they brought it back.  This is another show I have to watch as soon as it airs and not let it linger too long on my DVR.

7. HGTV - This is a home improvement type of channel.  I really only watch two shows on here - Love It or List It and My Lottery Dream House.  I became addicted to watching these.

8. Games Shows - Another guilty pleasure type of thing.  I especially enjoy the trivia type of shows.

9. Baseball - I've always been a big Yankee fan so I'll tune in and see how they are doing throughout the season.

20.  You Tube travel videos - We love to cruise and there are many You Tubers who post their experiences on various cruise ships.  It's a great way for us to have a virtual tour before deciding if we want to go on a specific ship.

It looks like a lot when I post them like this, but I'm not watching all these things every day or even every week.  Some shows are off for the summer months and sometimes I just don't feel like watching, but these are my non-bookish pastimes. Some people crochet, knit, collect things...I like to watch TV in my spare time.
