The Weekend Review - January 31st-February 2nd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

It feels like the weeks are flying by.  I can't believe a week has gone by since my last weekend post and now January is over.  I know many are going through very cold and snowy weather.  I hope everyone is doing well.  Even here in Florida we are under a severe weather warning. So many places are much colder than here, but Florida isn't used to it.  Since I'm only a recent transplant to Florida from New York, I'm fine with it.

I finished two books this week.  They were good ones.  I'm enjoying my current read very much.  As for what I'm watching, it's the usual for me - 911, Chicago Med, PD and Fire, and The Pitt.

There's really nothing new going on here.  It's the same old stuff, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. How are things in your part of the world?  I hope you all have a great week!

  1. I just requested THIS BOOK MADE ME THINK OF YOU from my public library after seeing it on another blog. It sounds sad, but I have to know what the 12 books are. It's cold here, but we're used to it in the Midwest. Imagine you are the best driver in Florida in the snow!

  2. I love Simone St. James. My mother lives in Lake Mary Florida and it has been unseasonably cold. Happy reading.

  3. Your weather is so unusual it even made the news in Washington State. They said an outdoor hockey game would be appropriate for the weather in the mid-30s.

  5. I'm so used to snow, it's weird to watch other states struggle with it on the news. I can't believe January is over, either.

  9. It's been quite a while since you stopped posting mainly mysteries, so I don't know why I am still surprised to see other types of books on your page. Are you enjoying This Book Made Me Think of You? It is one that I hope to read as well.

  10. Glad the weather isn't a problem for you. I lived in Minnesota for 35 years so I have all my clothes and gear. January was rough so I'm glad it's finished.

  13. I'm jealous that you are reading This Book Made Me Think of You. I'm looking forward to reading it.

We have just gotten over a spell of cold weather. It's funny that we saw show when we saw both our kids this winter!

  15. You are reading the Libby Page book, I hope to read that at some point, had my eye on it for awhile. Florida would certainly be good weather wise after NY.

  16. We are so cold here and I am not enjoying it! The dog thinks it's great though. I'm hoping we see some warmup soon because I'm not a fan of winter! You have a lot of great books coming up and the Libby Page book looks so good. Have a great week!

  18. It's been cold here, but the last storm missed us. Our daughter in NC got the snow instead. This
Book Made Me Think of You looks like it will be a popular choice. I would buy it if I didn't have so many books here. I didn't know that Benard had released a memoir a few years ago. How interesting. Thanks for sharing.
