My Review
Psychic Drew Benson returns to her hometown of Stanfield. Her aunt has passed away and left her shop to Drew. Drew is not sure what she will do with the shop, Good Vibrations, but she has to make some decisions. Her mother is encouraging her to sell, and the bills are piling up. To add to Drew’s stress, her aunt had been a psychic and was involved in a missing teen cold case. The case was never solved, and it destroyed her aunt’s reputation.
A former classmate, Nick Campbell, is now a reporter and asks for her help in finishing the investigation of that long ago cold case. Drew is hesitant to use her psychic abilities or even to let anyone know she has them. However, she’s determined to restore her aunt’s good name and perhaps even bring closure to the missing teen’s family.
This story has quite an interesting premise and a cast of intriguing characters. Each one is well-written and comes to life on each page.
The book started off slow, for me, but picked up about halfway through. It kept my interest and had me guessing who the culprit was. There were several potential possibilities, but I did not guess the ending. It really took me by surprise. I like when that happens.
I’m hoping this is the start of a series and there will be more to come. I really like Drew and her friends. The potential is certainly there for a long series of books.
