The Weekend Review - September 5th-7th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

The first week of September is already over.  Can you believe it? Talk about time flying. As far as the weather goes in Florida, it's been a mixed bag. Very humid mixed with thunderstorms almost every day. Inside is the best place for me. LOL

My medical tests went well. I have a full blood work this week, but overall, I'm feeling well. Except for a new problem that came up - my hip is hurting and I have no idea why. I probably pulled a muscle or slept the wrong way. Hopefully, it will go away.  If I walk around, it feels better.  Sleeping is hard, though. I wish it wasn't so humid so I could walk outside. That would be a big help.

Anyway, I finished two books this week.  Both good ones. My lucky streak of reading good books continues. I'm happy about that. I haven't been watching much, just an occasional baseball game and my soaps.

That's about it for my week.  How was your week?  I hope everyone has a great week!

I finished reading...

These are the books I'm planning to read through September. I'll probably make changes along the way, though. Between my mood reading and reading challenges, I'm sure this will change a few times.

Here is this week's e-book freebie haul.  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  4. That's good your medical tests went well, good luck with the bloodwork. I have to get that done this week too. We've had so much rain here the mosquitos are annoying. Happy reading, I like the cover on the Mystic and the Missing Girl.

  6. Yay for good books! We went from a couple too hot days, to destructive storms. It has not been the best week for the weather. LOL Hope it gets nicer for you so you can enjoy walking outside again.

  7. Glad you found some good books. During COVID when I didn't walk enough my hip really hurt. I found I need to keep it moving.

  9. I hope your hip is feeling better. I started having hip pain in July, finally got in with a sports medicine doctor and found out my hip had somehow gotten out of alignment. I have been in PT for 4 weeks, and have my follow-ups on Wednesday. I know it is no longer out of alignment, and I am hoping to be free of the PT and daily exercises! I hope you enjoy your books when you get time to read them.
