Sunday Salon - On the road to recovery....

Well my leave of absence from work ends today. I go back to work on Monday, which is a good thing since it means I'm pretty much recovered from my heart surgery. Of course it means less blogging and reading time, but that's life. I wasn't completing very many books in a week anyway :) Another positive thing - I don't live near any bookstores, but I work across the street from Borders and Barnes and Noble. So, I spend my lunch hours there. I haven't been to a bookstore since I got since, guess where I'm headed on Monday?

This week I finished and reviewed The Lumby Lines by Gail Fraser. Great book and it's the first of a series. Apparently there are already four other books written from this series. When I have a chance, I'll check them out.

I just finished watching the movie Julie and Julia. It's a good movie and Meryl Streep is always terrific. I have the book and really should have read that first, but I will read it. I've never been into cooking, but eating is always fun and this movie made me hungry!

I hope everyone has a great week!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
