This week's question...
Any reading resolutions for the new year? Reading more? (Reading less?) Reading better books? Bigger books? More series? More relaxing books?
And hey, feel free to talk about any other resolutions you might have, too … or why you choose NOT to have any.
My answer...
I don't call them resolutions anymore. I call them goals. I rarely ever stick to resolutions but somehow calling them goals seems more doable.
I already posted my reading goals earlier in the week, but my main one is to do less reviews and read more books for my own enjoyment. I'm not making any goals about the types of books - better, bigger, etc. I do plan to do better with challenges this year, which is why I joined fewer of them - still I joined alot but not nearly as many as I've done in the past. I figure this way it might be more manageable. With all those challenges in previous years, I tended to lose track of them. One other goal is to read at least 100 books (whether they are for reviews or just because I want to read them). I tried for that this year but fell short.
As for personal goals, my only one is to make more time for my own writing and complete a manuscript or at least get a good portion of it done.
That's it...what about you?

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.

I am being more relaxed this year, and reading only the books I choose, after the book tours are over in the next month or two, I am not accepting anymore unless they are in the genres I enjoy reading.
ReplyDeleteI'm aiming for 30 books to read this year but I would like to reach 50.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of calling them goals...and making them simple and achievable works for me, too. Mine are similar to yours...here's

Most of my actual goals for the new year are non-reading related.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it. I always try to read 100 books in a year but never seem to reach that.
ReplyDeleteI've tried to streamline my reading related resolution, as noted in my last post! 100 books is a great goal for the new year. :)
