Sunday/Monday Posts - July 1st and 2nd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!  Happy Holiday Week in the US!

We're having a heatwave in my part of the world this week.  It's scorching hot out there, so I'm in here with my books and a/c.  Feels nice to me :)  I will be off line for a few days this week.  I'm just taking a much needed break from downsizing and going through all of our house stuff.

I have already managed to finish two reading challenges - the Audio Book Challenge and my own Cruisin' thru the Cozies.  I still have a few challenges to complete, but the year is only half over (I can't even believe it is going so fast).

I do have to get my reading organized.  I'm always trying to do that and then I never follow my list, but I'm still going to give it a try.  I have so many good books coming up and, once again, I want to read everything at once.  That never works.  LOL

I haven't been doing too much TV watching, but I did start the Netflix series Safe.  It stars Michael C. Hall. It's really good and I only have two episodes left.  I don't know what, if anything, I'll start next.  I seem to be more interested in reading than watching TV lately.  That's not a bad thing :)

I hope everyone has a great week.  For those in the US celebrating July 4th, I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Yvonne

  10. Wow congrats on the challenges! It's been hot here too, seems like everyone is saying that. I wish it would just stay in the 70's/ 80's... I don't need these 90's. :)

Safe looks interesting, I may try that one.

    Happy 4th this week!

  16. I've heard its hot your way, no I don't like lots of heat so staying indoors sounds good! I don't have air conditioning at my place - few NZ homes do, so would be no good in a heat wave. Lots of nice looking cozies in your reading line up.

  17. Woot..you are rocking the challenges. Enjoy your unplug time!

  18. Organizing reading is HARD, but you must be doing it to some extent between the number of books you review and the challenges you are already completing!

    Happy reading! And happy holiday!

  19. I'll have to check out Safe. We just started reading Longmire and are really enjoying it but I'm sure we'll finish something else soon! I'm staying inside right now too. The humidity is killing me! Hope you're having a great week!

  20. I am generally usually grateful for air conditioning, but my office has been a freezer the past couple of weeks. It's been awful. Yay for finishing reading challenges! Congratulations. I should check out Safe. My husband and I started watching Miss Fisher on Netflix. It's really good! I hope you have a great week, Yvonne! Happy Reading!
