The Weekend Review - September 21st-23rd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I love this time of year - kind of between summer and fall.  Our weather can be warm one day, then cool the next.  Either way, I'm feeling "fallish" :)  As far as my reading goes, that means I'm reading Halloween type books.  Since I love cozy mysteries, they all fit in that category.

I'm reading so many good books.  Mostly in the cozy mystery genre, but I have a few romances coming up too.  All are favorites of mine.

Not too much in the way of TV, but all my regular shows are starting to come back next week.  I'm more into reading at the moment :)

I'm still clearing out my house in preparation for our big move.  I thought we would be out of here by now, but not yet.  Soon, though.  One thing I know for sure, I never want to move again.  Packing is just too annoying.  LOL

I hope you are all having a great week and have a good upcoming week too!  Have fun!

Yvonne

  1. Packing is annoying! And so is moving, frankly... although the feeling of getting into the new place is always nice and worth it. :)

I love this time of year too, and especially enjoy mysteries and slightly suspenseful reads around Halloween. I need to get back into cozies!

  2. You are reading books that look perfect for the season. We are still on hold for summer here, but any day now we will get our first cold front. Send a little coolness down, will you?

I will never move again. My books, my husband's enormous rock collection? No. Someone else will have to carry us out of here.

    Have a great week!

  6. I'm with you - I never want to move again either. I did make a big effort to throw or donate things before and after the move if I wasn't going to use them. Good luck!

I've been in a weird reading mood but still finding amazing reads. I wish we would get a few more fallish days that are cooler. Have a great week!

  8. Your books all look tempting. I agree about not moving again. Even though I didn't want to make this particular move, I am happy to stay put for now. Perhaps forever, lol...

  11. I love this time of year too. Still hot but the humidity is low and I can read outside comfortably. And I'm reading a bunch of cozies. I always seem to gravitate to the genre after the summer.

  14. Oh yes packing and moving house are such big things and so time consuming, it will be good when you are through with it. In the meantime cozies and romance books are good ways to go.

  15. Oh, I missed that you are moving. Packing, and unpacking, is such a PITA. Good luck.

I like this time of year also; early to mid-fall is one of my favorite times of year.

    Happy reading!
