The Weekend Review - June 15th-17th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

A nasty wet week for us, but I finished two books.  So, that's a good thing.  The rainstorms were not.  I think it was causing me to have really bad sinus or allergy attacks.  The coughing wouldn't stop and it seemed to coincide with the rain, but I'm not 100% sure. At least the rain finally stopped.  We're left with clouds but it's better than all that rain.

I'm not watching much TV right now.  I only watch Criminal Minds and Evil weekly.  Plus I watch baseball.  Other than that, I'm spending more time reading which is not a bad thing :)

It's been a pretty quiet week except for the thunderstorms.  How has your week been?  Good, I hope.  I hope you all have a great upcoming week.

  1. I hope the weather clears up for you this week! We’re supposed to have thunderstorms all week and my sister is leaving to go camping tomorrow. I wisely cancelled my plans to go to a state park on Wednesday. Dead in the Water looks good! I just picked it up.

  8. I think our rain must have moved down to you. May and the beginning of June was so wet here but now it's dry and hot...I would have preferred dry and warm...lol. Hope the rain goes away soon!

Have a great week and happy reading!

  10. We are not getting the rain which is ok. Rain brings some humidity. It's hot here but the humidity has been ok. I can't seem to manage tv much. I'm enjoying my books. My brother & wife are spending summers in Denver since they built out their daughter's basement into a grandparent suite. They'll winter in Florida but maybe go out there to ski.

  12. Whenever I cough, even a little bit, I worry that it is COVID. Now I've heard that the new strain is more like having a bad cold or an attack of allergies. Have you tested to make sure you don't have COVID? I hope not. Ugh. What a pest that disease is.

  14. Urg! I hate thunderstorms as I loathe the noise of the thunder. And it's adding insult to injury to find they are also setting off your allergies! I hope the weather this coming week improves, Yvonne.

  15. Your weather sounds like ours. I've been doing more coughing too. I'm blaming our high pollen count. Nice looking books too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
