Sunday Salon - March 11th

Happy Sunday Everyone!

It's cold here, but very sunny. It's so deceiving. It looks like the perfect day to sit outside and read...but, not quite yet.

I only finished two books this past week...

Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis. A fun read. I always enjoy Jill Shalvis' books. The other was an audio, Chocolate Covered Murder by Leslie Meier. The last one I read was #4, this audio was #19. Yikes! No wonder the last time I read this series the Lucy Stone's kids were so young, now they are grown up. I need to catch up!

I think I'm reading slower these days. A big part of the problem is that I'm getting hooked on too many TV shows. I need to stop that! LOL The other problem is that I'm spending too much time online. I think I need to stop that too (easier said then done).

I've been trying to come up with some type of organization of my review requests and blog tours. I still have way too many requests to catch up on, but I'm also receiving many requests for cozy mystery reviews and I'm not about to say no to a good cozy. Regular readers of my blog know that's my favorite genre. I know I'm not alone here with way too many reviews to be done - how are you all organizing them or not organizing them? I'd love to hear how you are all doing catching up and what method you use for accepting or not accepting review requests. Basically, I think I just need more reading time :)

I have a list of upcoming blog tours on my sidebar to the right. Also, I have several book giveaways going on. Check them out.

I hope everyone has a great week and that we all start getting nice, warm weather.

Enjoy your reading!

  2. If you come up with an organization style please do share! I'm stumped and overwhelmed! And the guilt, oh the guilt! I have stacks of books to review and no time to read because I'm blogging, or hanging out visiting other blogs and I too have a zillion shows I've become addicted to this season! Thank goodness most are on Hulu so I can watch at my leisure. But seriously, if you gain any advice about organization please do share! I like how you put your blog tours on the sidebar - I'm going to adopt that idea from you if you don't mind. Great post!

    1. I think many of us are in the same position. There are just not enough hours in the day!

  3. I can relate to that. There are simply not enough hours in the day. To attempt to stay organized I like to keep a post it note with the due date on each book that arrives for review. If I don't keep a little note with each book, I'll forget what date the review is due. I can't say no to a good book either, I've been getting a lot of historical fictions for request and I simply cannot resist :p Theres no way I will stop watching my fav tv shows! I tend to read during commercial breaks.

    1. It's so hard to say no, isn't it? I mainly get requests from my favorite genres and everything always sounds so good. I probably won't be giving up on my fave TV shows either.

  4. I'd probably do better juggling TV and books if I didn't also have computer time. However, I can't seem to resist anything. LOL

  5. First thing, I stole the picture, lol.
I have the same problem. I think I am reading slower and watching too much tv plus spending too much time on facebook. We will have to support each other as best we can.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great week!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
