Sunday Salon - March 25th

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, just click the button above.

Today is a dreary, rainy Sunday in New York but I can't complain. All week we had such beautiful weather with temperatures in the 70's. My husband I went into New York City for a few days and had so much fun. We started making trips into NYC last month to see the sights. We both are from New York and yet we never did the tourist thing. We loved every minute of it. This time we saw the Jersey Boys on Broadway (an excellent show!). We even took a tour of the NBC Studio (boy, the Saturday Night Live sit is small in person - LOL).

Now, it's back to reality.

I did finish a couple of books this week - Finding Katie by John J. Smith. I will post my review on the 27th as part of the blog tour. I, also, finished An Appetite for Murder by Lucy Burdette. Wonderful and fun book. I'm now reading another cozy, of course, Cats Cant Shoot by Clea Simon. Right up my alley - a cozy mystery with cats :)

Question for you, do any of you have any favorite cooking shows? I'm looking particularly for something that has healthy cooking, but any any cooking show recommendations would be appreciated. I don't cook much (mainly due to the different hours my husband and I have), but I think I want to get back into it.

I hope you all have a great week.

  1. I'm getting useD to cats in mysteries, especially cats that talk, which used to turn me off quite a bit. I will have to try Cleo Simon's book!

I like Giada on the cooking network, she shares some yummy Italian recipes.

  4. How fun that you've been visiting NYC! I like Alton Brown's Good Eats because he gives the science/reasons behind why foods cook or combine, etc. the way they do and that helps me make sense of recipes in ways that other shows don't approach.

  5. Isn't funny that how you live in a state but never do the tourist thing? Same here. We have the Newport Mansions and I have never been. Sounds like you had a great time. Have a wonderful week. Thank you for stopping by.

  6. yes, I like Good Eats with Alton Brown and Giada too. He is a little geeky and the show is often funny and having made a number of her recipes, I know that are quite good.

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
