Booking Through Thursday - Pet Names

This week's question...
Do you have any pet that has a name inspired by your readings?
If not, what would you pick if you DID?
Do any of your friends have book-based names for their pets? (Or their children?)
My answer...
No, I don't but one of my cats' names was inspired by a TV character. Geiger is named after Jeffrey Geiger (Mandy Patinkin's character from Chicago Hope).
I don't have many reading friends, so anyone who named children or pets after fictitious characters usually named them after favorite TV or movie characters. I can't think of any book character I'd name a pet after - maybe Scarlet and Rhett (using the Gone With the Wind theme again - LOL).

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.

Scarlett and Rett would be good.
ReplyDeleteLove the cat picture.
We have a cat, and he's got two literary names.
OMG- Scarlett and Rhett is just genius! I love it!

Growing up, we had a sheepdog named Chaucer (of the female persuasion).
ReplyDeleteI hope no one closes the lid on the washer!
Larry came with a name..And he seems like a Larry .
ReplyDeleteI didn't post about this topic today...couldn't think of any pets named after fictional characters...then later, I realized that our cat Cleopatra was obviously based on the Egyptian Cleopatra....not exactly fictional, but close.
ReplyDeleteMy lady beagle is Angela after Angela Lansbury.
ReplyDeleteI did name a cat Rhodri, I claim it's after Rhodri Mawr of Wales, but it's from a fantasy book ;)
