Sunday/Monday Posts - March 29th and 30th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

Just when our temps started to warm up, we start our weekend off with snow.  It was a weird snow - a misty snow that lasted the entire day but it didn't stick to the roads.  The cars had a lot of snow and so did the lawn.  Overall, it's tiring seeing all this snow constantly.  Maybe this will finally be the end of it for this year.

I had a couple of tours scheduled this past week, but nothing for next week.  I'm giving myself a break before April starts.  I have a few things scheduled for April.

I caught up on my TV watching, so that's good.  Now I can enjoy The Walking Dead's season finale tomorrow night.  Two other shows that I've been enjoying lately - Night Shift and The Following.  Does anyone watch General Hospital?  I've watched it forever and it's really getting good.  I'm hooked on it all over again.

Now to catch up on my reading.  I hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  2. That sounds like the kind of snow we normally get. It's not quite cold enough to really stick to the roads but we get a few inches on everything else. This year we got actual snow which I did not enjoy! Hopefully you're staying warm and the temps will really be on the way up! I'm looking forward to your review of Threads of Deceit. It looks so intriguing. I always really enjoy the Agatha Raisin books even though I sometimes want to give Agatha a good shaking. I hope you're enjoying the audio! Have a great week!

  3. I got the same snow and I'm happy that's all it was. The Glassblower's Wife has a lovely cover and Buy A Whisker looks so warm and cozy. Enjoy books and tv shows and stay warm!

  4. We got a snowfall last week but it is starting to melt, maybe it is the beginning of the end. I hope it will be the same with you.

  5. I watched GH years ago, and then stopped, they do not show it here anymore

  6. The Quiche of Death looks tempting...and I am a big fan of GH these days. I started watching it in 1963, I think...almost from the beginning. And then life got in the way....but with VCRs and later DVRs, I resumed watching. I missed most of the 80s shows...but I am glad they show us some of the stuff from the past. And it is my favorite show, now.

The other day, the beginning was preempted here because of something stupid locally...LOL. I still haven't found a good site to see it online.

Enjoy your week, Yvonne. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  7. We got some snow too! It is supposed to warm up this week. I used to watch General Hospital years ago.

  8. We've had the same thing (weather-wise) but in reverse. Summer's over and it should be Autumn but the weather's reverted to hot summer days lately - over 30C.

    (And I hate summer!) ;-)
