First Chapter Tuesday/Teaser Tuesday - September 12th

Every Tuesday Diane at Bibliophile By the Sea hosts First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros, where we share the first paragraph or (a few) of a book we are reading or thinking about reading soon. Care to join us?

If you'd like to play along on Teaser Tuesdays, just click the button above.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, now being hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week I'm reading...

First Chapter...

It wasn't until she was five blocks from home, well past the newsstand but before the buckling sidewalk in front of the old library, that Elsa Henderson knew she was being followed.

A feeling of unseen eyes crawled over her.

What do you think? Would you keep reading?

  1. I like the intro and teaser enough to keep reading. I'm off to check out this series.

  2. Ooh, I hate that feeling of unseen eyes crawling over me!

Must keep reading! Thanks for sharing, and here's mine: “MY ABSOLUTE DARLING”

  3. But who is doing the following?

Great teaser. Mine is at http://www.aliceaudrey.com/?p=14988

  4. Wow, one sentence and I'm already feeling the spookiness. I'm checking this one out.

  5. Super creepy teasers! Just the idea of being followed gives me the creeps. And that feeling of being watched *shudder* This sounds great!

  6. Scary feel to this one, but, I'd keep reading. enjoy

  7. Yep, I want to read this right now. So few words yet it says so much!
