The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.
Happy Weekend!
It's been a very cold week here, but that's fine by me. As long as we didn't have snow, I can deal with the cold. I deal by staying inside, with hot chocolate and a good book (although sometimes it's a good TV show - LOL). I've been reading so many wondering thriller/mysteries. It's perfect for the cold weather...okay, it's perfect for beach weather too but right now we are in the middle of winter :)
I only finished one book this week, but that's good for me since it was a longer book than I usually read. It was a good one too - The Cha-Cha Babes of Pelican Way. My review is part of a blog tour that I will post later in the week. I usually read books around 200-300 pages. This one was 500 pages, but the 500 pages went by fast.
I'm still stocking up on Kindle freebies. I posted this week's below. Just remember to check prices before buying to make sure they are still free.
Not too much happening around here. It's been quiet and I'm very happy about that. I hope you all have a great week!
Yvonne

Nice haul !
ReplyDeleteHave a great day !
I'm eyeing The Liar's Room and The Suspect.
ReplyDeleteI prefer shorter books, but a fast-paced 500 page book works, too.
Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
The title of the book you read cracked me up! Makes me kind of curious. You got some good ones coming up so hope you enjoy them all.

Your upcoming cozies look like fun and those titles are hilarious! I hate the cold, but like you stay indoors! Have a lovely day reading!
ReplyDeleteThe Cha Cha Babes is catching my eye despite being a chunkster like you say. I'm working through a 500+ page mystery so can kinda relate.
ReplyDeleteSo many fun looking books! I went a bit crazy on Netgalley. Broke my goal right out of the gate. LOL I've been reading a lot of suspense and thrillers but also nabbed a couple new cozies:)

ReplyDeleteSee I like snow but hate the cold - really cold I mean. Like anything in the single digits. Then it's usually too cold to snow. Some great looking books this week and I love the cover of Death by Committee.
ReplyDeleteOur weather hasn't been colder than normal but it has been icier than normal. I've been staying in and reading too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
