The Weekend Review - January 19th-21st

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

We are awaiting a big snow storm over here, but the forecast keeps changing so I don't really know how much snow to expect, if any.  Whatever it is, I have plenty of books and TV shows to keep me occupied inside :)  Plus, hot chocolate, of course!

I only managed to finish one book this week, but it was a good one.  I see Netflix released a new season of one of my favorite shows Grace & Frankie.  So, I will have to make time to binge watch that one.  Ray Donovan just had their season finale and Outlander still has two episodes left to this season, but so many of my other shows have returned in full force.  It definitely keeps me busy.

Besides that, it's been quiet over here, just very cold.  I hope you all have a good week!

Yvonne

  1. I so desperately want to see some snow! It's always hit and miss here now I live in the south of England. :(

    Have a good week!

  2. You have such a great collection of books to enjoy...I am eager to get The Suspect...and The Missing Years looks very good, too.

I also love Gracie and Frankie, and predictably, I've already finished the newest season. Sigh. I might have to watch it again, as it was wonderful.

Enjoy...and I hope you don't get snowed in.

  3. Yes, we got hit with the snowfall. Wasn't as bad as they said it would be but now I am looking at ice and hoping we don't lose power. Over all it has been ok. Working on blogging and homework. Have a wonderful week.

  5. Ooh I hope your storm isn't too bad. We got a bit of snow but the sun's been out so it's melting some- yay!

The Suspect and The Missing Years both look good! And Murder Likes It Hot looks fun. :)

  6. Hope you didn't get hammered with snow. We're watching the 2nd season release of The Punisher. Enjoy your books and shows! :)

  7. Some great books here. We're watching The Punisher Season 2 and I almost think I'd have traded snow for the cold temps we're gonna have the next 2 weeks!

  8. The Liars Room and The Suspect look intriguing to me. I loved Playing for Keeps and I'm on that tour this week. It's going to get down to 15 tonight, clear and COLD. But back up to 60 by Wednesday so it won't last too long. No school tomorrow so we could stay home if there wasn't a doc appt. But it's still nice to have the day off. Have a great reading week and stay cozy! Anne - Books of My Heart

  13. Our snowstorm turned into mostly rain south of Boston, MA. Today's a Monday holiday for me, and it's COLD out! So far am still under an afghan on the couch, but need to get myself moving soon. Luckily I've got my audiobook to listen to while I run errands.

  14. We didn't get the snow they promised, but it's really, really cold. I like the cover of the Murder Likes It Hot. I have The Suspect on my list.

  15. We're expecting snow too but they keep revising the amount downward. It would be okay to miss the snow as far as I'm concerned. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
