The Weekend Review - June 22nd - 24th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

After being sick for the past two weeks with bronchitis, I'm finally feeling a little better.  I'm still coughing like crazy but at least I don't have a fever and not feeling as exhausted as I was then.  It really knocked me out but I'm doing much better.

I haven't been reading very much but hopefully my concentration will now start returning, too, and I'll start reading more.  I haven't been watching too much summer TV.  I just haven't found anything that catches my interest.  I have been watching the second season of Big Little Lies and a brand new series on ABC called Grand Hotel.  I like both so far.

I'm still overwhelmed with blog tours but hopefully that will start to subside.  I need to get my review schedule more organized but that seems to be a never ending process.  No matter what I do, I fall behind.  Someday I will figure this out :)

The weather here has been nice this weekend.  During the week we had a lot of rain, but this weekend is just beautiful.  It's feeling very much like summer and I'm enjoying this.

I do hope you all have a great week and read/watch many great things.

Yvonne

  2. I'm glad you are finally getting over bronchitis. It can hang on for a long time. I remember coughing for three months one time before finally breaking down and going to the doctor. Sometimes I can be ridiculously stubborn.

It's hard to read (or do anything, really) when you don't feel well. I hope your concentration for reading will return soon.

Out of Options looks interesting. Is it just me or am I seeing more books aimed at an older audience? I am reading Henry Himself, a book about a 75-year-old man, and I can't imagine anyone under forty reading it.

    Have a great week.

  4. Oh dear:(. Bronchitis takes a lot of getting over - you must take it easy for a while longer. So take care and ensure you have an easy week:)

  10. So sorry to hear you've been feeling bad but am glad it seems to be fading. It always takes far too long to get back to normal feeling. I've been curious about The Grand Hotel. It looks good and it sounds like I need to try it. Have a great week!
