Book Beginnings on Fridays/The Friday 56 - January 24th

This is a fun meme to do hosted by Freda's Voice. If you'd like to join on the fun go to The Friday 56.

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
*Find any sentence that grabs you.
*Post it.
*Link it here.

It's that simple.

I'm also joining in Book Beginnings on Friday. It's hosted by Rose City Reader.

I hope to read this one soon...

Beginnings...

I stared at my daughter in considerable alarm. I couldn't remember ever seeing her like this, grabbing at her hair and stomping around my office. Suddenly she stopped in front of my desk and glared.

From 56% on my e-reader...

I took a moment to consider how to handle this.

  1. CARELESS WHISKERS is a great addition to the series! You'll love it. The only thing is, I kept singing the George Micheal song. I'd love for you and your readers to check out mine! https://lisaksbookthoughts.blogspot.com/2020/01/its-cozy-food-friday-that-means-its_24.html

  6. That's an appealing cover. Like Lisa, the title to mind the George Michael song and I started humming it. Happy reading!

  8. As a parent myself, 100% can confirm this is how I often feel when looking at my daughter, so it doesn't generally cause alarm. Of course, she's still eight, so ... *shrug* xD An interesting opening, nonetheless! Sounds like a cute read. Enjoy!

    Here's my Friday post.
