The Weekend Review - October 2nd-4th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Happy October!  I can't believe the year is almost over.  I have three months left to catch up on my reading.  I'm sure it won't be a problem :)  I was able to walk a couple of times this week.  The weather is still warm here but it's walkable.  I haven't started back with audiobooks yet because I wasn't sure about my consistency in walking but I think I'll give it a try and get an audiobook from the library.

I only finished one book this week and it was a good one.  Now I'm in the middle of another good book.  I need more reading time.  I'm not sure where all my time goes these days because I'm not really watching alot of TV.  I'm recording alot but not actually watching my shows.  A few here and there, but nothing that should interfere with my books.  I'm probably spending too much time online.  That happens often 😀

It's been a good week.  Nothing exciting, which is good :)  A quiet week, which is also good :)  I hope you are all having a great weekend and have a great upcoming week!

Blog Tours and Reviews coming up soon...

  1. Sometimes when I find myself with the time to read I still don't end up reading and rather just wasting time online because I don't have the energy to properly connect with a book? But time is also flying way too vast and there is always so much to read and watch and do! I'm glad you're enjoying your current reads however. Have a lovely rest of your weekend :)

  2. Glad to hear you managed to get out and about Yvonne, the weather here in the UK is wet and windy. Lol! Hope you have a great reading/listening week. x

  3. I do not know where the time goes either. How did I ever find time to work?!

I'm glad you are reading some good books, even though you feel your reading has been limited. It's pretty good walking weather here, too. Enjoy your audios.

  4. I am looking forward to being able to walk outside again, still on the treadmill here for a few more weeks hoping the weather starts dropping.

    Here is my week:

  5. It’s far too easy to get sucked into endlessly scrolling online :)

Wishing you a great reading week

  6. I like the look of these books, and The Mother Next Door is calling to me. Enjoy! Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES

  7. I spend too much time online too and if I didn't I'd get a lot more books read lol!

Hope you have a nice week! :)

  8. LOL I feel you on the walking tip. I've tried to walk with audiobooks, but can never keep pace since the narrator's voice seldom changes. I know just use a playlist I made for cardio.

However, the recording thing reminds me of my family's DVR habits. 😅 We always get a notice it's full even though we don't ever watch the shows we record. Then we inevitably end up having to debate which shows should be erased and everyone argues how they want to watch their shows. 😂 It's a never ending mess.

I hope you enjoy your week! Here's my Sunday post:

  9. I admire that audio books work for you…listening is not one of my strong suits!😉

  10. A Cat on the Case looks good. We've been recording and not watching too. :) XO

  11. I admire that audio books work for you…listening is not one of my strong suits!😉

  12. The Mother Next Door looks good! I love me some cat themed cozies! I hope it's good.

  13. Online time definitely cuts into my reading time too! Glad you were able to get some walks in.

    Enjoy your week!

  14. It is crazy that it's already October. I feel like I've lost my feel of time in a way. My TV watching has definitely dropped but that's because I'm loving my books which is a good thing! Have a great week!

  15. Good to get out for a walk. I had dropped off again but went out just for 15 min today. Hope I can keep it up! Enjoy your books, they look good.

  16. Not knowing where the time goes is such a mood, haha. You always choose books with such cute covers!!

  17. Great books this week. I will have to check out your review of Dad. Hope you enjoy your reading.

  18. This year has been speeding by. I spend way too much time online too. Luckily, I can listen to audiobooks while playing computer games. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  19. Time on online certainly can get away from you. Walking with an audio is my favorite thing! Have a great week.

  20. I think this is the best time of the year for walking, at least where I live! I walk my son to and from school, so I usually use that time (after I drop him off and before I pick him up) to catch up on my podcasts. - Melinda @ A Web of Stories

  21. October seemed to sneak up on me. I am glad you are able to walk and the weather has cooperated. Hopefully you will get some good audiobook time in. I love the cover of A Perfect Bind. I hope you enjoyed it. I hope you are enjoying your weekend, Yvonne! Have a great week.
