The Weekend Review - October 2nd-4th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Happy October!  I can't believe the year is almost over.  I have three months left to catch up on my reading.  I'm sure it won't be a problem :)  I was able to walk a couple of times this week.  The weather is still warm here but it's walkable.  I haven't started back with audiobooks yet because I wasn't sure about my consistency in walking but I think I'll give it a try and get an audiobook from the library.

I only finished one book this week and it was a good one.  Now I'm in the middle of another good book.  I need more reading time.  I'm not sure where all my time goes these days because I'm not really watching alot of TV.  I'm recording alot but not actually watching my shows.  A few here and there, but nothing that should interfere with my books.  I'm probably spending too much time online.  That happens often 😀

It's been a good week.  Nothing exciting, which is good :)  A quiet week, which is also good :)  I hope you are all having a great weekend and have a great upcoming week!

  1. Sometimes when I find myself with the time to read I still don't end up reading and rather just wasting time online because I don't have the energy to properly connect with a book? But time is also flying way too vast and there is always so much to read and watch and do! I'm glad you're enjoying your current reads however. Have a lovely rest of your weekend :)

  3. I do not know where the time goes either. How did I ever find time to work?!

I'm glad you are reading some good books, even though you feel your reading has been limited. It's pretty good walking weather here, too. Enjoy your audios.

  5. It’s far too easy to get sucked into endlessly scrolling online :)

  8. LOL I feel you on the walking tip. I've tried to walk with audiobooks, but can never keep pace since the narrator's voice seldom changes. I know just use a playlist I made for cardio.

However, the recording thing reminds me of my family's DVR habits. 😅 We always get a notice it's full even though we don't ever watch the shows we record. Then we inevitably end up having to debate which shows should be erased and everyone argues how they want to watch their shows. 😂 It's a never ending mess.

I hope you enjoy your week! Here's my Sunday post:

  14. It is crazy that it's already October. I feel like I've lost my feel of time in a way. My TV watching has definitely dropped but that's because I'm loving my books which is a good thing! Have a great week!

  19. Time on online certainly can get away from you. Walking with an audio is my favorite thing! Have a great week.

  20. I think this is the best time of the year for walking, at least where I live! I walk my son to and from school, so I usually use that time (after I drop him off and before I pick him up) to catch up on my podcasts. - Melinda @ A Web of Stories
