The Weekend Review - February 5-7th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all doing well especially with all the different weather conditions everyone is experiencing.  In Florida we are pretty lucky, but I know so many of you are going through different things.

I only finished one book this week, but it was a good one.  It's longer and more intense than books I usually read which is why I think it took me longer to read it.  It was State of Terror by Hilary Rodham Clinton and Louise Penny.  What a great book.  I'll be posting a review soon.  Hopefully I won't be reading this slowly for the rest of February :)

Not much television to watch, but I did watch a limited series on Netflix called Midnight Mass.  I wasn't sure about it at first, but it was really good - if you like horror, which I do :)

Not too much else going on around here.  I hope you all have a great week and read/watch many good things.

  7. Good to hear about the book collaboration with Hillary Clinton and Louise Penny is good. It's been on my list.

Midnight Mass was one of my favorite shows last year! Love me some good and thoughtful horror.

  10. Glad you enjoyed the Hillary Clinton/Louise Penney book... even if it took longer to read than your other books. Will keep an eye out for your review. With all the horrible weather all over the country, I've been very thankful to be in Florida this week!

  11. I kind of wish I lived in a place like Florida. It's really cold in my neck of the woods.

I also only read one book this week. It was a fluffy YA book. It's because I've been trying to catch up on my homework. I went back to school last semester.

  14. Good to hear you enjoyed State of Terror. Wouldn't mind trying it at some point. Crazy winter weather in US. I see Texas got snowed in upon again this year. I know, because quilting video I enjoy was cancelled for last Saturday.

  15. We've been cold here but not nearly as cold as some of the other areas. I'm still being dramatic about how much I dislike cold though! I don't really love horror but Netflix does such a great job with their limited series. Have a wonderful week!

  19. We are expecting more snow. This is the first year I can say I really haven't been a fan of winter in New England. Maybe I am getting old. :)

So many of your books sound wonderful. The Not So Golden Oldies and Caught on Camera piqued my interest.

    Thanks for sharing.

  21. I really enjoyed STATE OF TERROR. I wasn't sure what to expect, only because I am not a huge fan of books with multiple authors, but this one worked. I think Hillary Clinton came up with the story and Louise Penny wrote it, so the narrative is seamless. - Melinda @ A Web of Stories
