My Review
This is the 8th book in the Flight Risk series by Susan Harper. The premise of this series is Pauline wants to spend her retirement years traveling the world. Kendell is a flight attendant she meets along the way. Kendell is at a crossroads in her life and isn’t quite sure what she wants to do. Pauline convinces her to be her traveling companion - all expenses paid. Kendell is more than happy to travel the world with Pauline (and her little dog Dot).
In this book, they are traveling to the Australian outback where they join, what turns out to be, a deadly tour group. Their guide is murdered and nobody knows how to get back to civilization. They run into many dangerous episodes along the way from poisonous sneaks to sweet kangaroos. All the time they are wondering who, among their travel group, is a killer.
I so love this series. Each book is a quick read and feels like your own personal travelogue. Kendell and Pauline are wonderful characters. Although they’ve only known each other a short time, you can feel their close friendship. While Kendell helps Pauline fulfill her travel dreams, Pauline makes sure Kendell’s boyfriend is really worthy of her.
The next stop is Tokyo and I’m ready for it.
