The Weekend Review - March 5th-7th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

A pretty quiet week for me.  My knee is pretty much healed...a few pretty colors still left on it...but no pain or stinging any longer.  I'm going to begin walking either tomorrow or Monday.  Then, in the next few days I'm hoping to finally try my new bicycle.

I finished two books this week.  Both were good.  I had several blog tours this week.  Next week I only have one scheduled.  I still have plenty of books to review, though.  I'm never in short supply of those.  LOL

Last night I saw the new movie The Batman.  It was good...long, but good.  It's quite a dark movie.  Much to my surprise, the theater was practically empty.  We were afraid it would be really crowded on a Friday on the release date for the movie, but it wasn't.

Not much else going on around here.  What was your week like?  I hope you have a great upcoming week!

  4. This Might Hurt has a fantastic cover. I am eager to hear what you think of it.

Glad your knee is healing up. I fell this week and I have a black-and-blue knee now, too, but it doesn't hurt.

I'm not surprised that theaters aren't full yet. I think people are still being pretty cautious.

  8. I am glad your knee is better! It is hard to enjoy anything when we hurt.

Your books look good. I have Home Fires on my Kindle...and I'm hoping to read it at some point. I think it is long, which tends to move it to the back of my list, LOL.

I am curious about This Might Hurt.

  10. Looks like some great books! Love the cover of Sniffing out a Suspect. I went to see a movie as well. I'm kind of surprised your theater wasn't that full for The Batman, because when I went to see the new Spiderman movie back in December that theater was packed! I prefer a little bit emptier these days, no surprise. Have a great week!

  11. I'm glad your knee is better. I'm also glad to hear The Batman was good. I've been contemplating on seeing it. I just loved Christopher Nolan's trilogy so much that I'm not sure I want to see it. Maybe.

  14. So pleased to hear your knee is a lot better and I hope you will be out enjoying your new books in the coming week. My week was super busy and left me little to no time to read or blog. Hoping next week is quieter. Take care and happy reading. 🙂

  15. I have never seen a Batman movie but was shocked to learn that the Batman movies don't really have a Robin character. How can you have Batman without Robin?

  16. I am on the fence about the new Batman, I am not a fan of the actor playing him this go around. At the same time I am curious. So it's probably a wait till I can stream it cheaply...lol.

Have a great week and happy reading!

  19. I'm glad to hear your knee has improved. What a pleasant surprise to find an almost empty movie theater... we still haven't attempted that yet. Hope you have a good week!

  20. Right now, I prefer to see movies in empty theaters! We recently saw DEATH ON THE NILE and the theater was nearly empty. However, before that, we saw the new Spider-Man movie on opening weekend and I have never been in that theater when it was that crowded! Yeesh!

  23. I’m sure you will be striding, and cycling around in no time!
I’m not keen on all the angsty Batman stuff, he’s essentially an anti-hero these days.

Wishing you a great reading week
