The Weekend Review - April 9th-11th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Hard to believe the first week of April is already over, but it is.

I finished two books this week.  Both were really good.  I've been watching my TV shows this week - Survivor, The Resident, This Is Us and The Blacklist.  I still have Blue Bloods to watch.  At least I'm not falling behind on my TV shows.  I'm also happy that baseball is back and I plan to watch those games.  My favorite team is the Yankees...what can I say?  I'm a New Yorker at heart living in Florida 😁

Everything is pretty much the same here.  How about by you?  Have you read or seen anything good lately?

I hope everyone has a great week!

  1. I'm a Survivor fan as well. Only missed one episode since it premiered, and that was because of a power outage back in the day when we didn't have on demand as a backup.

I snagged ARCs of a couple of your "review coming soon" books this week as well.

  2. So glad this has been a fun and productive week for your reading and viewing. As for myself I haven't finished any books, although I do have five on the go, and I haven't watched anything new! Looking forward to remedying this now it is the school's Easter holiday for us! Take care and happy reading! 😃

  3. Hi Yvonne! I've never watched This is us, maybe I should give it a try. I've seen Suddenly Retired and I think it can be a fun non-fiction.

Crazy weather here with us, I'm missing summer already!

Have a good week and happy reading.

  4. I can't believe it's April, finally! We had a rough winter here. I'm also a fan of baseball and since my husband is originally from NY, he has my kids rooting for the Yankees, too. :)
I love any cover with a cat on it. I've read and enjoyed Allison Brennan before but the others are new to me, which is a good thing. I like to see new titles when I go to other blogs, and not the same ones. I love Survivor (if I was 20 years younger and 50 lbs. lighter... I like to say!). I used to watch the Blacklist and This Is Us. Don't know why I slipped away from them.
Enjoy your week and your books!
