The Weekend Review - June 25th-27th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Can you believe it's the last week of June?  I feel like we just ended May.  This is the halfway mark to the end of the year.  I'll have to do an evaluation of my challenges.  All I know for sure is that I'm three books ahead in my Goodreads challenge.

I managed to finish two books this week.  Hopefully I'll do better each week in the second half of the year.

I haven't been doing much TV watching lately.  I haven't really been interested in anything except baseball.  I'm even getting bored of my soaps.

It's been a quiet week here...just the way I like it 😀  I hope you have a great week!

  4. I must say that Sweetest Thing looks like a book that I would really enjoy. You are such a highly productive person with so much to share for a week! Great work.

  5. I can't believe June is almost over and we will be half way through the year! I will be taking part in the Six in Six meme to reflect on this first half of the year, which I always look forward to.

Take care, happy reading and enjoy the quiet. 🙂

  6. I am thinking if I should even spend time evaluating when I know I am nowhere near my mid-year targets. LOL just kidding, I will do them. Thanks for the reminder though.

  7. Time has sped up rapidly in the last few years. I wonder why.

I stopped watching my soaps when I realized that I was spending most afternoons on them while my kids napped. I've never looked back. Sigh. Well, maybe a few times...

I need to update my challenges and see how I stand. Thanks for the reminder.

  8. Those books all look good.

I can't believe how fast this year has gone. I think I'm on track with my Goodreads challenge. I only started doing it last year and this is my second year so it's not overly ambitious 😂

    Have a great week!

  12. Looks like you love your cozy mysteries! I just got lost down the rabbit hole of looking at your Netgalley challenge and trying to decide if I should participate....have to find time to make the page, etc. but I like the idea of a place to keep me accountable. I've marked it so I can come back when I get organized! Happy Reading this week!

  13. Hi there Yvonne! Glad to hear you are relaxed and just chilling a bit.

June was a long month for me, but it's midyear report cards and that always feel like years!!

Have a good week Yvonne and happy reading!

  16. Congratulations on being ahead on your Goodreads challenge! I'm ahead on mine, too, but not doing so well on some of my other challenges.

Have a great week and enjoy those new books!

  17. It is hard to believe it is the end of June. I'm already hearing ads and stuff for back to school. I used this last Sunday of June to do a bit of a catch up as I've not done any wrap-up type posts since January. I hope you'll check it out at Girl Who Reads.

  23. The only challenge I do is Goodreads where I am currently 70 books ahead of schedule. I usually set a low goal and then increase it as I reach it. I've been watching lots of baseball too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  24. A nice thing about summer is getting a break from TV watching and catching up on reading. I enjoyed The Sweetest Thing and am enjoying The Edge of Summer. Have a great week.

  25. I'm doing great on my Goodreads challenge but struggling on some others. We've been watching lots of baseball but that's about it as well. Hope you're having a wonderful week.
