The Weekend Review - January 14th-January 16th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

It's hard to believe we are halfway through January already but we are.  Not much new is going on here.  Our weather goes up and down...sometimes nice, sometimes cold (for Florida).  This weekend is a cold one but not really as terrible as the weather people are saying, but that's just me.

I only finished two books this week but they were good ones.  My TV shows have returned.  I've watched Chicago PD, Fire and Med, New Amsterdam and the NCIS shows.  I still have Blue Bloods to watch.

It's been a quiet week here.  How is by you? Read or watch anything good?  I hope you all have a great week!

  1. I was noticing that some of the temps in Florida have been as cold as here in So Cal. I'm so sorry you are suffering like we are. ;)

  5. Do I Know You? looks fun and interesting.

I'm glad that your shows are back. All Creatures Great and Small is back on PBS and I'm trying to take it in little bites so I can stretch it out as long as I can.

  7. I have a friend in Florida who talks about lighting the fireplace when it's 60 degrees outside. I'll have to get his perspective on how the weather there feels now. I live in Maryland we have some fun conversations about whether. :) I really love the covers (and the premise) of the Magical Mystery Book Club Series and I need to read those. Have a great week! :-)

  9. The Gulf Coast always has such strange winters. A couple of days ago I had AC on and now it's heat. Brr....

  10. Since my team was eliminated in the football playoffs, I don't think I'll be watching any TV until baseball starts. I've never seen any of the series you mention. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  11. Do I Know You has a really clever cover. Weather is relative isn't it! Those with bad rain and floods now they have something to say!

  12. This was a strange week for me. It was quiet in that I didn't have many places to be or appointments, but busy in that I had so much of random things to do. Oh well, such is January!

  13. We are doing the up and down thing with the temperatures too and I'm not a fan of the cold! I really need to get back to NCIS. I'm a couple of seasons behind but it's been one of my favorite shows for years. Have a great week!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
