The Weekend Review - January 7th-January 9th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

How has your first week of January?  Mine was good.  I finished two books and we had beautiful weather in Florida.  I'm back to walking and listening to audiobooks.  I started listening to The Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Book.  I only just started but it looks like it will be fun to listen to while walking.

I'm still binging on Criminal Minds, although many of the regular TV shows have returned.  I really haven't been interested in watching them.  I just prefer to alternate between Criminal Minds and reading.  I'm sure this will change soon enough :)

Nothing really new to report here.  I hope you all have a great week!

  1. Happy New Year!!! (I was kind of gone for the week). I wish the weather was nice here ha ha. Kind of dreary but that's Michigan in winter. Do I Know You looks fun.

  2. Dial M for Meow and the Boyfriend Effect caught my attention. Hope they are good.

  3. I bet listening to the audiobook of Comedians in Cars is even better than reading the book. If you haven't listened to Is This Anything? you might like to look for it, too. It's the best of Seinfeld's stand up.

You always find so many interesting freebies!

  4. The comedians' book does sound like a good companion for walking. Enjoy your beautiful weather! I can see white stuff falling out of the sky again this morning.

  5. It's been lovely weather here in Alabama too. Been getting out and walking, taking in the fresh air.

  6. When to talk sounds like a non-fiction book I seen recently that has something to do with what to say when you say something Wrong. That comedian in cars book does sound great. I love hearing comedian stories since I've met plenty of them.

  7. Glad Florida is getting some nice weather finally! We've been getting rain and snow off and on now for a few weeks. We definitely need it but it's been a bit dreary. Against the Currant looks fun!

  8. My first week of January has been a bit painful, but hoping it will get better this week! Never want to go to the dentist again!

Hope you are enjoying Against the Currant I have seen it around.

  9. We've had a mild week, it got a little colder at the end of the week, and we had flurries yesterday. Today the sun is out, which is great. I hope you enjoy these, have a great week!

  14. Against the Currant looks fun with its cute cover. Walking is good if you do it! I start then stop but yesterday I went for a swim in the sea. Much floating only but I guess its a bit of movement!
