My Review
It's back to Prickly Pear, Arizona for another visit with Lord Brighton and his friends. One of Brighton’s close friends is planning a fundraiser in the town’s garden. Wanda is getting resistance from her unpleasant neighbor, but she’s determined to go through with it and make it successful. However, things take a nasty turn. Brighton is horrified when he finds Wanda standing over her mean neighbor holding a bloody shovel and he's very much dead.
Brighton knows Wanda is innocent of any wrongdoing and he intends to prove it. Did I mention that Brighton is a cat? Did I mention that some people can hear Brighton talk? Did I mention that he talks snarky to all who can and will listen? Oh, and he prefers to be addressed as Lord Brighton.
Brighton lives with his psychic cousin. Together, they investigate to prove Wanda isn’t a killer. Although the neighbor was really awful, they are stumped as to who would do such a thing.
This is the second book in the Chatty Cat Mystery series. I so love this series. Brighton is just so funny. It’s a quick read with so many twists and turns your head will spin. The author gives us brilliant, witty dialogue.
This has quickly become one of my favorite series and Brighton is one of my favorite literary kitties. I have been thinking about this book ever since I finished it. When a book stays with you after you finish it, it's a really special treat. It’s pure fun and a true delight to spend the day with Brighton and his friends.

That looks really good. XO
ReplyDeleteThis sounds excellent, my cats "talk" snarky to me all the time, especially The Charismatic Enigma SissyCat.
