The Weekend Review - April 27th-29th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

It's hard to believe April is just about over and a new month will be here soon.  So, I had to re-evaluate my reading schedule.  I didn't so so well in April.  Hopefully I can stick to May's schedule and fit some of my unread April books in, too.  We'll see.  I do have to train myself to stay away from NetGalley, though.

It's been a pretty quiet week.  I only finished one book and I started two different ones.  It's unusual for me since I never read more than one book at a time, but I couldn't decide what to read so I chose both.  LOL

I've been alternating between watching baseball and my shows.  The TV season is almost over so I can always catch up with whatever I miss.

No great plans for the week, but that's just fine with me.  I could use a rest :)  Hope you all have a great week!

I finished reading ...

These are the books I hope to read in May.  A couple are carryovers from April that I'm going to try and squeeze in.

Here is this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  3. April is the beginning of amazing weather outdoors here, and I've found that April tends to be a time when I don't get in a lot of reading time. That has definitely been true here.

Good luck with getting your April reads squeezed in next month!

  4. So shocked that April is ending already! But no worries about the reading pace -- just keep up what's comfortable for you. :) I used to be able to read two books (or even three) at once back when I was in high school, but my attention span has reduced significantly since then, and I get distracted even just reading one book lol. 😂
