The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
This was an okay week. I finally found out what is wrong with my arm. I have frozen shoulder and now have to go for physical therapy. At least I'm getting some answers...finally!
I only finished one book this week. I was busy setting up the reading challenges I host for 2025. I wanted to get them out of the way so I didn't feel rushed trying to get them all done before the end of the year. If any of you are interested in joining, they are in my sidebar.
I've been getting into social media again. Too much, but I found Bluesky and I've been liking that. Threads is good, too, but I've found many bloggers and authors on Bluesky. I'll probably be over there more. I intend to delete X soon. If any of you are on Bluesky and want to follow me, my contact is Socrates Book Reviews @yvonne473.bsky.social Now, I really need to stay off social media and read. LOL
So, what have you been up to? Anything exciting? I hope you all have a great week.
Loving all the mysteries! It was a slow book week for me reading wise. I kept falling to sleep. I did however get mostly caught up on writing reviews :)
ReplyDeleteI currently have NO ARCs I'll be reviewing in December. But an author I like is coming out with a Christmas themed entry in her series to be released in December, so I'll wind up with that one.
ReplyDeletePhysical therapy really helped my shoulder, and it was a similar diagnosis. Hopefully, it's just as helpful for you.
I won't be signing up for 2025 reading challenges until 1/1, but I'll be signing up for some of yours again. Glad you'll be hosting.
I've got Booked For Murder on my ARC pile too. Those challenges look like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI see a lot of people trying bluesky. Hope it fits the bill.

Having trouble with a shoulder myself, so I know how hard it is to get answers. Here is hoping your this leads to a helpful treatment. Off to check out the 2025 challenges.
ReplyDeleteI’ve had issues with Frozen Shoulder too, a side effect of peri- menopause. It’s okay right now, apparently it can come and go. I hope the physio helps with yours.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
I had frozen shoulder and PT did about 90% but I had to have dry needling by the PT to get to 100% motion again. I've been on every social for this year. Bluesky is really coming together now as more people are joining. It's the least connected with the automation tools right now though.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Yes, I joined Bluesky this week and I joined you there. It's a happy place.
ReplyDeleteI used to do yoga three times a week. I developed frozen shoulder and I was told to treat it by...doing yoga! Hmmm....
I was wondering what BlueSky is as I see it listed on some blogs. There are so many social media places it is mind boggling. XO
ReplyDeleteBooked for Murder looks cute! I like the Georgia setting. I've been enjoying BlueSky too, more so than Threads.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of frozen shoulder. I am glad you found the issue and hopefully PT will lead to healing! BlueSky seems to be a popular topic today, your post is the 3rd one I have visited that has mentioned it. I might need to check it out, suddenly getting FOMO, LOL!
ReplyDeletethanks for the tip about Bluesky. I recently quit Twitter (no to Musk!) and I might try Threads or Bluesky. Good luck with your shoulder. The therapy might take awhile ... but keep with it.
ReplyDeleteHopefully therapy will start providing some relief for the frozen shoulder soon.
ReplyDeleteAll of your freebies look good this week. Happy reading!
Getting all the challenges set up was a lot of work, you have done a great job!
ReplyDeleteI have been noticing people going to Bluesky. What happened to Twitter? I escaped from it a while ago, so I guess it's time to try something new.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those books!
Glad to hear they discovered the issue. Hopefully, the therapy will bring relief.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine adding another social media app to my world; though it sounds like Bluesky allows you to better customize your experience.
Great books this week. I enjoy sports romances.
Enjoy your week!

It's nice to be able to read something other than review books. I have had a few weeks now to do that. I'm not much for social media. I have an inactive X account but haven't deleted it. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI have only just begun to hear about Bluesky. I really should go on Twitter and delete, haven't been there for years. Yes 2025 is rushing in on us. I have begun to think about my reading goals for it.
ReplyDeleteYay for answers and I hope physical therapy goes well. I have Booked For Murder coming up on my TBR and I can't wait to read it. It looks like a good one. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI just followed you on Bluesky. I am spending too much time there, but the vibe is so lovely - like I remember twitter to be back in the day. Hope your therapy helps.
