The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
I was totally surprised this week when I went into a store and saw a Halloween display. I know summer is almost over and time is flying, but that just seems way too early.
It's mainly been a quiet week. A couple more medical issues coming up this week, but I was still able to read three books this week. So that was good. Usually, I can't read when I'm thinking of medical stuff but this week it's really been a great stress reliever. Plus, I've been reading some good books, so that helps.
Lately, I've been finding that I'm enjoying thrillers and suspense more than any other genre. Everything I've read has been so good. Also, I finished two of my reading challenges this week. So, that was another positive.
Nothing much going on around here. I hope you all have a great week.

I'm currently reading...
I finished reading...
These are the books I'm planning to read through September. I'll probably make changes along the way, though. Between my mood reading and reading challenges, I'm sure this will change a few times.

Nooo, surely it's too soon for Halloween... the year's speeding away.
ReplyDeleteHow is Paper Ghosts? I keep meaning to try something by Sarah Addison Allen.
I'm really enjoying Paper Ghosts so far. I agree, it's too early for Halloween.
DeleteI've got my reading planned out for September, all short books. I'm not surprised anymore when I go into a store and seasonal displays are way out of alignment with what is going on in nature outdoors.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of short books for September. I do enjoy a short book between big ones.
DeleteSorry you had more complications. I hope that this week is better for you, it is great that you go some reading in though. I can't believe how fast this year is flying by. I am very ready for Fall but I can't believe we are already almost in September!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, the year really is flying by.
DeleteI’m reading Paper Ghosts this week too.
ReplyDeleteI hope the medical things prove to be only minor.
Thanks for sharing your week, happy reading!
So far, I really like Paper Ghosts. I hope you are too.
DeleteI’m glad reading has been such a good stress reliever this week, especially with medical things on your mind. And congratulations on finishing two of your reading challenges! Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It always feels good to finish a reading challenge.
DeleteI don't really want to see Halloween stuff until at least after Labor Day and same with Christmas stuff until after Thanksgiving but really at LEAST after Halloween. It's like how the summer clothes are all on sale and start clearing out by July 4th. That's not so bad because one can get sale items and summer really is hottest in July and August here.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I agree - I wish they'd at least wait until after Labor Day for Halloween stuff. It's like they are wishing away the time.
DeleteValley of the Moms looks interesting. My son and I are already planning to go to the big Halloween store near us next weekend :)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your visit to the Halloween store!
DeleteSounds like you're doing great with the reading challenges. We have Halloween items in the stores here too, since late July! It is way too soon for that and I refuse to rush the seasons. Enjoy your week and I hope the medical stuff goes well for you.
ReplyDeleteI do love the reading challenges and it's nice to actually complete a couple. I agree about the Halloween stuff. Thanks. Hopefully I'll get good news soon. Have a great week!
DeleteThanks for the heads up on Olivia Blacke, I'm starting with her debut novel Killer Content.
