Research Scientist Madeline Pierce is stunned when she discovers a meth production and distribution operation going on at her very own medical research facility. The FBI is called in and agent Joe Roberts is assigned to go undercover as Madeline’s boyfriend. Together, they search for the truth and discover there is much more going on in this small Michigan town than they thought.
When animal attacks occur all around town, they realize that someone is experimenting but is their experiments limited to animals or could human testing be involved as well? With the help of Joe’s sister and her police officer husband, Joe and Madeline begin an investigation they never suspected leading them right to a volatile nano-drug.
Throughout this entire mission, Madeline and Joe’s pretend relationship turns serious and it’s not long before they create some of their own intense chemical attraction. Their relationship is sizzling hot!
This story had me from the first page. I couldn’t stop reading. I had to know what was going on and I adored the four main characters – Joe, Madeline, his sister Eva, and her husband Matt. They worked so well together. The story had the perfect mix of mystery, suspense and romance. There were even a few dashes of humor mixed into this fast-paced suspense. I can’t say enough good things about this book. I never thought I would love it this much. The author even left us with a bit of a cliffhanger and I’m looking forward to the next book.
