Sunday/Monday Posts - January 17th and 18th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

A busy week on and off the blog for me.  I'm hoping to cut back this week to take a breather and relax a bit more.

I'm happy to see some of my TV shows returning.  I'm very excited for the upcoming The X-Files mini-series.  This should be fun.  This week The 100 returns and a new show I'm interested in DC's Legends of Tomorrow.  That one looks really good, too.

I'm going to start trying to mix up review books with books on my own TBR.  Last year, I only read review books.  They were all great, for the most part,  and books I would have wanted to read anyway but sometimes it's nice to read a book just for the fun of it and not because a review was requested.  I'm looking forward to that :)  I really started to make blogging into a job and that's not what I want, so I'm going to make some changes.

We are still having pretty mild weather here.  It's mid-January already and still fairly warm for this time of year.  I'm not complaining, though :)

Other than that, there's not much going on around here.  I hope you all have a great week and read many great books!

Yvonne

  2. I'm really curious to see how the new X-Files turns out too. I hope it's good. I have the Ninth Life to review too. It's a bit different than what I generally prefer to read, but I've enjoyed the author's past work and so am willing to give it a try. Doesn't Weiss's book sound wonderful? I like the title too. :-) I hope you have a great week, Yvonne!

  6. It's been mild winter here too, until this past week when we got a snow mess. Now it's very cold... I guess winter was coming at some point. I'm looking forward to The 100 and Legends of Tomorrow as well.

    No Cats Allowed looks fun!

  8. I'm looking forward to the XFiles mini series as well. Old eps are being shown on free-to-air TV here in Oz. The blurb says it's been curated by Chris Carter but so far it's just every single episode of s1! I was hoping for a quick whip-through the whole series with just the relevant eps!

  9. I love Suzanne Brockmann books and have read all her books - bought the Prince Joe series right through and read!

  10. My reading has been slow this new year as I've been putting knitting first - fingerless mitts for the 3rd grader and whipping out another pair for a friend in southern CA who I had promised in December of 2014. Plus I joined a mini, knitting swap so I had to knit up a small gift. Audiobooks are my accompaniment while I knit. The Kindle's turn is before I sleep at night or when I have to wait in the car. I'm reading a historical romance of a much lauded series.

  12. Lots of great books here. I wish I could simply read books in my TBR pile, but I love reviewing books too. It's so much fun.

Can't wait to see Fuller House and the new X-Files. Glad to see some great shows make a come back.

Hope you enjoy your books. It's been getting cold here, so hope your mild weather holds.

Thanks for visiting The Busy Mom's Daily.
