Sunday/Monday Posts - August 27th and 28th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

For anyone in the Texas area, I hope you and your families are all safe from the hurricane.  Prayers to all of you.

It's relatively quiet here.  I've been trying to catch up on reading.  I stalled earlier in the week, but then my reading picked up.  So, I only finished one book this week.  I didn't get anything new this week, but it's not like I'm out of reading material.  I still have all the review books to read below, plus my Kindle is bursting at the seams with all the freebies on it.  I'm trying really hard to stay away from NetGalley.

I still haven't gotten back to my Netflix watching, but I have been keeping up with regular TV and enjoying Ray Donovan, Chesapeake Shores and The Night Shift.  They've all been good and I'm enjoying them.

It's hard to believe we are heading towards the last week of August already.  Where did the time go?

Hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  1. Thank you for your prayers for Texas. My area is just getting a ton of water, but it's been pretty bad to the west of me. I hope you have a great reading week this week.

  2. We appreciate your prayers here south of Houston, too. It's raining and raining. Flooding for many.

  4. You have a LOT of upcoming reviews! Enjoy...and I love the look of the Robyn Carr book...plus Body on Baker Street.

I love Chesapeake Shores...except for that youngest daughter, Jess, who sulks and pouts too much. Like a 20-something baby. LOL.

  7. So many great authors and books. Me wants!!! LOL It looks like hurricane Harvey isn't giving up yet. Still a tropical storm and it looks like a pressure system is going to push it back into the gulf. Kind of worried about that. Hopefully your review books will perk up your reading mojo:)

  13. I'm not loving Ray Donovan this season, but I'm still watching. I downloaded too many books this weekend. I don't know why I always think I have more reading time than I really do.

  15. A number of your upcoming review books are on my stack too. I go sucked in to watching the Weather Channel about the hurricane and was amazed at the force of nature. I hope recovery doesn't take the years that some are predicting. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
