The Weekend Review - April 20th-22nd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!  Happy Easter!  Happy Passover!

Whatever you are doing this weekend, I hope you are enjoying it.

Although we've been having a lot of rain this weekend, the temps are warmer and that's always a good thing.

I've been enjoying audio books during my commute to work.  I can't really concentrate on mysteries or thrillers, but I'm enjoying light romances and non-fiction on audios.  I'm so glad I found something that I can listen to on my way to and from work.  It's only an hour commute round trip by car but I always felt it was such a waste of time.  At least now I can accomplish something.

I only participated in one weekly book meme this week.  It's just been a busy time.  Maybe this week I will get back on track.

I've been catching up on TV.  I had a mini-Grey's Anatomy marathon.  I'm all caught up with that show.  After all these years, it's still a good show.  There are so many good medical shows.  That genre is one of my favorites.  Besides Grey's, I've been enjoying New Amsterdam, The Resident and Chicago Med.  There's also General Hospital, which I love, but in recent years it has gotten away from the hospital.  Medical dramas in books are also a favorite, but I haven't read many recently.

Lately I've been enjoying the romance genre.  It's been a long time since I read them as I mainly read cozy mysteries but it's always nice to change it up a bit.

So what was your week like?  Read anything good?  Watch anything good?  I hope you all have a great week!

  1. Change is a good thing :) I kind of gave up on Greys Anatomy a few seasons ago, I am enjoying The Resident though.

The Missing Years looks like a book I would enjoy.

  4. I've been reading in a very odd way lately. I started Circe in book form and then I picked up the audio from the library and listened to it for a while. I read the book in the middle, and then picked up where I left off reading with the audio. I didn't quite make it to the end in audio, though, so I finished up the book by reading it!

My work commute, at one time, was an hour one way, so I was happy to listen to audios every day. Now that
I'm retired, I don't have so much car time, but I find I can listen to books happily while I cook and clean.

If you are trying to decide which one, I say pick Park Avenue Summer! I'm curious about that one.

  16. I mainly listen to audiobooks when I clean. And I'm the opposite of you, I can focus more on mystery, thrillers, fantasy when it is audiobook and I'm not a huge fan of romance on audio. I also picked up Cinderella screwed me over. It sounds so good.

I hope you have a wonderful week.
