The Weekend Review - May 4th-6th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

It's been a wet, dreary week here but the sun has been trying to make an appearance.  Still, we haven't had it as bad as others have had it.  On the good side, it's perfect reading and TV weather :)

I have some great reading coming up and I'm looking forward to those books.  I'm hoping to finally catch up with my TV shows as the spring TV season is coming to an end.

I have to re-think all these reading challenges next year.  I'm not doing too bad but I'm not doing as well as I'd like.  My biggest problem is reading from my own TBR since I'm always working on reviews and NetGalley books.  But...we still have time this year and maybe I'll start doing better with my challenges.

I'm still trying to get used to my new job and my work schedule.  I wasn't working before this job so I had all the time in the world to read and watch my TV shows.  So, this still takes some getting used to.

I hope you are all having a great weekend and have a great upcoming week!  Enjoy!

Yvonne

  1. Sometimes a blog can be as demanding as a full time job so give yourself a break :)

    Have a great reading week

  2. I went back to work after being home for a long time, and it was quite an adjustment for me. All I wanted to do when I got home was take a bath and go to bed.

You do have a lot of books that look like they will be great fun---Beach Wedding Weekend, My Ex-Best Friend's Wedding, Montauk---so enjoy!

  3. I gave up on Netgalley years ago. Best decision I ever made for my blogging sanity. My Sunday Salon.

  5. I used to love reading challenges, but finally had to give them up because I felt the pressure! I have that Mary Kay Andrews too, but I may wait until closer to Memorial Day.

  6. I joined a couple of challenges for the first time in years and it's not going as well as I'd hoped. Will probably go back to no challenges for 2020. Looking forward to your thoughts on Park Avenue Summer.

  7. I don't do reading challenges because I have enough to keep track of with review books. I do like getting a chance to explore my own TBR mountain when I have time away from reviewing. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  8. I love your choices for what you are going to read next. I think it is always a struggle to get on to reading our own TBR shelf!

  9. No matter what you are doing in life choices have to be made I find. I have chosen not to watch much if any tv so I read more. I do want to read so many ARCs I have trouble getting to my purchased books though. It's been lovely here during the week with rainy weekends and this one is to be the same. Have a great weekend!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
