I'm very excited to say that Socrates' Book Reviews will now be hosting the weekly Tuesday meme, First Chapter, First Paragraph, Tuesday Intros. It has previously been hosted by Vicki at I'd Rather Be At the Beach and Diane at Bibliophile by the Sea. I'd like to thank both of them for all their hard work and bringing this meme to us and keeping it going for the last few years.
It's always been one of my favorites as we get a chance to share excerpts and teasers from books we are currently reading, have read or are planning to read. So, feel free to join us by sharing the first paragraph or (a few) of a book you are reading or thinking about reading soon. This meme is guaranteed to increase your TBR :)
Please link your blog post using Mr. Linky below. Make sure the link you enter is the direct link to your Tuesday post, not the main link to your blog. Thank you!
I, also, participate and link up to Teaser Tuesdays. Here's info about that meme:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here's my entry for this week. I'm hoping to be reading this soon. I love this author.
First Chapter...
Olivia
She could do this.
Olivia Harper approached the nondescript coffee shop across the street from her apartment in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood of Seatttle.
Teaser...
Every instinct inside her cried out for her to rush back down the street, race up the three flights to her apartment, climb into her bed and yank the covers over head.
What do you think? Would you keep reading?
I have been eyeing this book, and I love the setting as well as the excerpts. Thanks for hosting and for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking this meme on, Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteI am curious - especially that teaser, sounds like something embarrassing has happened!
I just finished this and enjoyed it though I think I still prefer her regular romance books!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being the new host!
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of this one, would like to read it.
I have days where I feel like that. I'm curious why the character does.
ReplyDeleteThat looks good. Congrats on hosting. I will have to join the hop if it is OK to do non-fiction. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely okay to do non-fiction. I hope you will join us.
