The Weekend Review - September 19th-21st

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Another weekend is here.  For all of you dealing with fires, hurricanes, tropical storms, COVID, and whatever else has been thrown our way, I hope everyone is alright.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

As if 2020 wasn't bad enough, now we lost Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  It's been a very sad time.  It's still hard to believe.

I have to admit, I wasn't in much of a mood to post my weekly update, but at the last minute I decided to go ahead with it.  Then, Blogger hit me with the new format and I couldn't revert to classic Blogger anymore (that's what I've been doing for the past couple of weeks).  So now blogging is even taking me longer.  I'm not a big fan of change.

I think I just want to sit in a quiet corner alone and just read...not that it ever works out that way.  Anyway, here's my weekly update.

I hope you all have a great week...Take care and stay safe.

  1. Urg! I feel your pain, Yvonne. Wordpress took it upon themselves to make major changes to their editing suite in June - and I absolutely hated it! Their tutorials were dire, too - which didn't help.

Though I did find YouTube was my friend, because there were a series of instructional videos which really helps and of course, I could play them over and over until I got the hang of it! Hope you find Blogger gets easier... and that this week ends up being kind to you!

  2. I'm glad you decided to go ahead and post this week, despite all the obstacles, Yvonne. I refuse to let all this negativity sink me.

The new Blogger? Oh dear, I'm not one for change either. I keep hoping that I will get used to it.

So sad about the loss of RBG. She will always inspire.

Those covers and titles are wonderful. A Case of Cat and Mouse. News and Nectarines. They look like great fun.

Keep your chin up. I have high hopes for the future.

  3. Hi there Yvonne, I also didn't really feel like doing my post today. Feel a bit sad and down with current events in our country. But there are always something worse, the loss of RBG will hit hard. At least she left one heck of a legacy. Hope everyone honors that.

May you have a good week and here's my The Sunday Post #12

  4. Yes, 2020 has been crazy with virus, world war threat, fires and locusts. And now Justice Ginsberg. I hope things get better soon.

  5. I hate blogging changes, and so far, WP still allows us the option for the classic format...but if they take that away, I won't be surprised! I'll just have to crawl off in a corner, too.

So many awful things have been thrown at all of us this year...but RBG's loss is like the last straw. Knowing how things are going so far, there will be more disasters ahead, however.

Your books look really tempting. I am eagerly awaiting the new Lisa Unger book.

Enjoy your week, and stay safe. Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES

  11. My blogger did the same, I went to check something then tried to go back to legacy and it wouldn’t let me, grrr!

I’m only know a little about RBG, her passing is a great loss.

I hope this week is good and you get time to read.

  12. The blogger changes are just weird. They're just slightly inconvenient but I can't see that they've actually improved anything. Hope you get some recharge/refresh time.

  13. Yes sometimes I just can't feel the energy either to blog a post. Other times I am quite happy to! A nuisance you can't go back to the Classic but looks like you figured it out from the post presentation which looks great.
