The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
I really can't believe this is the first weekend of June already. It always amazes me how fast time flies. At this time last year, we were all scared to leave the house. Now, here in Florida, things seem to be back to normal or maybe this is the new normal, I'm not sure.
Until I started to put this post together, I didn't realize I finished three books this week. All three were really good, so I'm happy about that. There also seems to be many good books on my horizon. I'm looking forward to a fun summer of reading.
Most of my TV shows are finished for the season. I think I just have 4 season finales left - New Amsterdam, The Blacklist, A Million Little Things and The Good Doctor. I still have about 5 or 6 episodes of Manifest to watch, but I think I'll watch that throughout the summer.
Did anyone see the Friends Reunion? I thought it was very good and brought back so many memories. I forgot how much I liked that show.
The weather here is hot, hot, hot which it's supposed to be. So, no walking for me but we'll probably start heading to the beach or the pool soon. I'll be listening to my audio books then.
Not much else happening here. How was your week? Anything new going on? I hope everyone has a great week!

I hope you get some beach time. It's been hot here too although not like you get it, I'm sure haha- Florida hot is something else again!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's June either. Everything feels so open now, mask wearing has really dropped off- makes me a little nervous going out lol.
Yvonne, great to hear things are getting back to normal for you and that you enjoyed three really good books, in the last week.
ReplyDeleteThe sun has come out to play here in the UK too, so I have been enjoying time in the garden and a visit to our local pool.😎
Take care and happy reading in the coming week.
It's not as hot here in the UK, but I know what you mean about summer sneaking up on us. Lol! Sounds like a great reading week, Yvonne, hope this week is as great.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy that it is June already right? And I loved the Friends Reunion too. I'm currently re-watching it while doing laundry and stuff.. It still makes me laugh so much! :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading.
I LOVED Friends back in the days, but have not watched the reunion. Maybe I will!
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched the Friends Reunion yet, but I will soon. Glad to hear it was good!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist Cornish Village School. Thank you for sharing these free books each week.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's June either. Does life speed up as I race toward the end?
We watched the Friends Reunion, too, and I was glad to see the fun they have and had together. It's inspired me to rewatch the series. I've been looking for a comedy.
And Hemingway's Cats. That sounds quite promising.
I watched 2/3 episodes of New Amsterdam and I really liked it. I will be watching it on Netflix soon. And Yay for 3 books this week, that is more than what I read in a month, these days.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how it's June already, either. And to be honest, I'm still nervous to leave the house, even fully vaccinated. Too many folks around here aren't. But I am getting a little braver, slowly.
ReplyDeleteOne Skein of Death looks cute. I haven't been reading many cozies recently -- mostly historical mysteries, fantasy, and historical romance. But I might check that one out, since I love to knit.
Have a great week, and enjoy your new books!
I know how is it that we are in June right? And, such a different outlook than this time last year. I'm just hopeful that we are really moving forward. I haven't watched the Friends reunion yet but I can't wait. I loved the show. Hope you have a great week ahead!
ReplyDeleteManifest is good this year. I didn't realize The Friends reunion already aired- darn! I LOVE that show. XO
ReplyDeleteYour books look good! The Stepsisters and Hemingway's Cats are on my list. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteTime really is moving at strange speeds, isn't it? I'm still in shock that the kids are almost done with school, but mostly because they have only been IN school for 2 months! Have a great week! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories
ReplyDeleteAlways fun when we read more books then we expect. I though May was going to be kind of a meh reading month but it ended up being my biggest month this year. I haven't watched the Friends Reunion but I really want to! I've loved the clips and pictures I've seen of it. They all seem so genuinely happy to see each other that it's so sweet. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLots of nice looking books.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Tess Thompson's books.
Have a great week!
It has even been hot here in Northern Minnesota. We broke a number of temperature records last week. Makes me grateful for my air conditioned house! Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI just reviewed Stepsisters. Hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed both the Susan Mallery and the Emilie Richards books, hope you do too. I didn't see the Friends Reunion, meant too but didn't, might yet catch up on it.
ReplyDeleteYes it does seem as though once Spring really kicked in time has been flying. I hope get to swim or maybe enjoy a margarita or two or a nice ice cream sundae to cool off. The Hemingway Cats looks good! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHemingway's Cats looks great!
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading! (Sorry about the posting confusion.)
Loved the Friends Reunion! Teared up during the Good Doctor season finale. I didn't know a certain character was leaving and I'm kind of mad about it. lol
