My Review

Rose Della Cruz is busy trying to get her new private investigator business up and running but it’s quite a bit of work.  Her sister, Stacy, has the perfect answer for her problems and that is to relax and go on vacation.  Rose is ready to refuse until she hears that her sister won two cruise ship tickets to Scotland for a month-long trip.  Rose wouldn’t have to spend a penny.  How could she possibly refuse?

As the sisters get ready to board their ship, Rose can’t help noticing that the passengers were very wealthy.  She fears she won’t fit in, but what she never expects to find is a dead body.  The victim wasn’t very well liked by anyone, but security isn’t sure if it was an accident or murder.  Rose is convinced it was murder and plans her own investigation.

I do enjoy cruise ship mysteries, and this is a good one.   I enjoyed the rapport between the sisters.  Rose even winds up with a canine sidekick named Rex.

There is quite a bit of drama and story packed into this novella. I read it in one sitting.  I could not put it down until I found out "whodunit". It kept me guessing and, of course, I guessed wrong.

This has the potential to be a fun cozy mystery series and I’ll be looking for more.
