The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
I can't believe we are already in the middle of September. My week mostly consisted of medical-related things. It just doesn't seem like I can get away from it, but that's the way it is.
I did manage to finish two books this week. So, that's a good thing. As for watching, I've become addicted to the HGTV show My Lottery Dream House. It's fun to watch and relieves some of the stress. There really hasn't been much on TV to keep my interest these days. Even reading can be difficult.
Not much else going on around here. I hope everyone has a great upcoming week!
I know what that is like to have to center your life around medical-related things. It can be frustrating. It's good you have found some relief in books and a fun new series.
ReplyDeleteI love watching my Lottery Dream House...lol Hope you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteYou picked up different freebies than me - probably because we gravitate towards different types of books! :) Hope you feel better and enjoy all this stack of books! Have a terrific week.

I'm kind of between shows too. That HGTV show sounds fun. We watch stuff like that too sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI binged the whole season of Five Star Menu on Netflix, just because I needed something I didn't need to concentrate on too hard. I hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteHope all the medical stuff resolves soon! That can be so nerve-wracking but hopefully books are keeping you good company! Wishing you a great week!
ReplyDeleteHGTV is great comfort television to have on any time of the day. I haven't seen that show, but there are some I used to watch almost daily. Trash to Treasure and Designer's Challenge are two that I remember. I'm not even sure if they're on anymore. Besides that, I have frndly tv and I don't think they carry HGTV, unfortunately. I hope you have a smooth-sailing week with whatever brings you comfort and joy. :)
ReplyDeleteSeams deadly looks so fun. I hope that your health continues to improve. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteSometimes there's just nothing better than HGTV real estate shows to take your mind off things. Hope the medical issues get worked out soon. Take care!
ReplyDeleteBummer about all the medical stuff, hope you can figure out what is going on and some way to fix it. I hate going to the doctor.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading!

Sorry you still have a lot of appointments. My mom loves that lottery show. XO
ReplyDeleteYou're keeping a positive attitude, so that's good! I like the look of all your colorful covers, but Area 53 caught my eye -- a little different from the others!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping and praying you get relief from all those appointments and are feeling top notch soon. Some great looking books on your list. Hope you enjoy them.

Two books read is great. I love those kind of house TV programmes. They are good for taking our minds of things.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear life is difficult right now. Hope things even out for you soon.
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry to hear that your health issues have been stressful this past week. I always enjoy home shows when I need to zone out, though I prefer the British ones like Escape to the Country, Escape to the Sun or Location, Location, Location. They aren’t staged like the US versions because of broadcast laws.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a much better week.
My Lottery Dream House is one of my absolutely favorite shows. I just love David. I hope you have a great week, Yvonne ☕📚🍁🌞💛
ReplyDeleteI used to watch a lot of HGTV but now not so much. I spy a dog on Murder on the Midnight Tide - looks like I'm gonna have to check that out. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI hope the medical things are cleared up soon for you. I read Seams Deadly and will be curious to know what you think of it. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteSo many awesome covers. I watch DAVID all the time. I love him.

I just started Seams Deadly too and so far I'm enjoying it. HGTV is the best channel for stress though I haven't watched that particular show. I hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI love Lottery Dream Home (and Love It Or List It.) I hope you get some time away from medical stuff this week.

I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI think I spend more time scrolling for something new to watch than actually watching something. LOL
