Book Beginnings on Fridays/The Friday 56 - February 14th

This week I'm joining in Book Beginnings on Friday. It's hosted by Rose City Reader.  This is where we post the beginning of the books we are reading or will be reading.

I'm also joining in for the Friday 56.

Freda at Freda's Voice started and hosted The Friday 56 for a long, long time. She is taking a break and Anne at My Head if Full of Books has taken on hosting duties in her absence. Please visit Anne's blog and link to your Friday 56 post.

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
*Find any sentence that grabs you.
*Post it.
*Link it here.

It's that simple.

This is a freebie I just got.  I haven't started this series yet and this is book # 5.75.  I'm not sure when I'll read it, but I thought it would be appropriate since today is Valentine's Day.

Book Beginnings

Being the wife of a cop isn't all it's cracked up to be.

This is at 56% on my e-reader.

So much for our subtlety skills.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Being the wife of a cop isn't all it's cracked up to be. Especially when dead bodies keep ruining your romantic dinner plans. But fashion designer turned amateur sleuth Maddie Springer is determined that her husband's latest case, dubbed the "Sex Shop Murder", will not keep him from celebrating their first anniversary together, which just happens to fall on the most romantic of all holidays, Valentine's Day. She's ready to do whatever it takes to make this night special and distraction-free - even if it means solving his case herself!

What do you think?  What are you sharing today?

  1. Happy Valentine's Day! I'm currently reading an ARC for a sports romance called Mr. Perfect. It's been quite an entertaining read so far.

What’s been your favorite part of the book you’re sharing today?

  3. This does seem like a good book to feature today. I've never been able to wear heels successfully, which is a shame since I'm so short. My friend who is married to a copy would probably agree with that opening statement! I hope you enjoy this one when you read it.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
