About the Book
Synopsis from Goodreads:
Cole Baylor was once a rising star in Christian music. Until one mistake shattered his career and his faith in himself. Now tucked away in the seaside town of Wentworth Cove, he's trying to rebuild something simple, honest, and true.
Annie Culwell knows about second chances. She’s worked hard to leave her past behind, finding solace in the rhythms of small-town life and a God who never let her go. When Cole walks into her world—haunted, humble, and full of music—she doesn’t expect the pull between them to be so strong.
Then Quinn Taylor arrives, pregnant and alone, carrying not only Cole’s child but also a vulnerability that binds them all in unexpected ways.
As summer deepens, so do the ties of love, forgiveness, and grace. In a town where healing often begins around a kitchen table or beneath a starlit sky, Cole, Annie, and Quinn each discover what it means to be fully supported and deeply loved.
A tender novel of friendship, redemption, and the kind of love that writes its own melody, Falling Star is a story for anyone who’s ever wondered if it’s possible to begin again.
My Review
Singer Cole Baylor has made a name for himself in the Christian music world, but one bad decision turns his world upside down. Now he could lose it all. He feels like the best thing to do is get out of the limelight for a little while. So he goes to Wentworth Cove, Maine. It doesn’t take long for him to fit right in and meet a woman he can’t get out of his mind.
Annie Culwell is dealing with her own issues from the past. She can’t help but find herself pulled into Cole’s life. She wants nothing more than to help him.
When Quinn Taylor shows up, Cole’s life is completely turned around. Quinn is carrying Cole’s child. She’s young, alone and very scared. Cole and Annie stay by her side as they figure out what the next step will be.
Although this is the fourth book in the Wentworth Cove series, each book can be read as a standalone. There are no cliffhangers and no threads that carryover to the next book. Some characters from previous books make an occasional appearance but nothing that interferes with the reading experience. However, I do recommend reading them all as they are such charming and inspirational books.
This is a heartwarming tale of second chances, forgiveness, and families. It’s beautifully written with realistic characters. Each character tugs on your heartstrings. You can't help but root for each one.
Rebecca Stevenson gives us an unforgettable uplifting story!
