The Weekend Review - May 9th-11th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!  Happy Mother's Day to All the Moms!!!

Not the best of weeks for me.  My virus still lingers on. I went back to the doctor and now have even more meds to take. Hopefully it will start to go away, but the cough is more annoying than anything else.

I only finished one book.  I always find it hard to concentrate when I'm not feeling well. I've been watching my TV shows.  They are winding their seasons down.  I'm watching Survivor, Chicago PD, Med and Fire. I, also, saw 911's finale which was good.

Not much is happening over here. I'm just trying to rest and get better. I hope you all have a great week and Happy Mother's Day!

  1. I hope you feel much better in the coming week. I find it difficult to focus when I'm sick too. Hope you feel well enough to read a good book this week. :)

  5. I hope you feel better soon, Yvonne! I also find it super hard to try and read (or do basically anything) when sick as well! I'm wishing you a speedy recovery. I know it can feel like forever and a day to heal and I hope it goes by quick for you!

  8. I hope you do rest and get better. I think lots of fluids can be helpful too. Water, tea, maybe juice.

I never feel like reading when I am sick either. Be patient with yourself.

  10. I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds it difficult to concentrate when in pain, I totally understand which is why my blog has had hardly any posts since my February surgery I had. I sure hope you get to feeling better and feel like reading again! Kudos to your post, I know it's hard to do these when you aren't feeling well. Have a great week!

  19. I am so sorry you’re not feeling well! I got really sick with strep throat a few weeks ago and was miserable absolutely miserable! Perles Medication usually cuts my cough immediately. But it took almost 15 doses before it worked. Usually, I simply take one or two doses and I’m better. I pray you get better soon and can return to reading.

The books you posted about this week are delightful eye candy!
