The Weekend Review - July 25th-27th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Happy Weekend! How was everyone's week? I had a couple of doctor appointments (routine checkups). They went well. This coming week I have one more appointment. This one is with an ophthalmologist.

I finished two books this week.  Both were very unique books and really good.  Both involved characters being in the pages of a book. Just a coincidence that I read two with that theme. I did enjoy both of them.

I saw one movie this week.  It was an older movie "Moonfall" and I liked it. I haven't watched much of anything else.

It's basically been quiet around here.  I hope everyone has a great upcoming week!

I have The Astral Library on my TBR list. What did you think of it?

    1. I thought it was really good. It's not my usual type of read, but I couldn't put it down. Loved it.

  2. I really need to get back to The Astral Library! I started it, but I wasn't in the right mood -- and I'm curious about If Books Could Kill, too! Good to hear you enjoyed both.

    1. The Astral Library was actually a surprise. I had it on hold at the library and figured I wouldn't get it for a while, but it came in sooner than I expected. Both were good.

  10. It’s always nice when the appointments go well, mine is coming up. Gotta see if my warranty will be renewed for another year.

Both books sound excellent, but the Astral Library would call my name first.
